Nonprofits need strong budget and financial oversight to ensure that resources are used effectively and transparently in alignment with their mission. It builds donor and stakeholder trust while enabling organizations to plan sustainably and maximize their impact.
The role of the Budgeting & Financial Oversight is to oversee the financial health of multiple programs or grants, ensuring that budgets are created, monitored, and adjusted to align with organizational goals. Organizations can manage funding across projects—tracking spenddown, forecasting needs, and producing accurate financial reports to support accountability and strategic decision-making.
Available services include:
Budget creation, reforecasting & spenddown: Tracking your organization’s budget throughout the year can be complicated, confusing, and frustrating. I can provide tools and resources to simplify these tasks to ensure you are tracking your organization’s finances.
Tracking Multi-year grants and award management: Tracking spenddown and availability for multi-year grants can be overwhelming on top of ensuring award’s expectations are being met. I support this process by providing resources and tools to manage these grants, which will be tied into your internal accounting categories.
Fund & grant financial reporting support: Funder reporting can be very time intensive and require a lot of cross divisional input. I can facilitate these conversations with other divisions, collect updates, and provide a draft for leadership to review before submitting.
